OK today’s daily prompt challenge is to write about what we wanted to accomplish last week, and whether we did or not and what held us back.
So the question is what did I want to accomplish last week. Well, there was
- getting to work on time (check)
- Getting my blood sugars to a normal level (if my doctors are watching check, if not good they wont know I’m lying)
- Tidying the house (well yes, sort of, almost, no not really)
In all honestly the only real target I managed to hit was getting to the end of the week and having the joy of doing it all over again.
Some people are very good at setting their week out, knowing which bus route to take to miss the traffic, setting out their weekly meal plan. But I’m not one of those people. I like to get up, look out of the window and go from there. My goals are forever changing from minute to minute which for me is great, most of the time. The annoying times this doesn’t work is when there is one main task that comes to mind which automatically overrides all other tasks, and most of the time I end up not getting those little tasks, the sort that are so little, but so important, that everything eventually comes to a halt because of those silly little things you forgot.
- Getting to work
- Getting my blood sugars to normal level
- Tidying the house
These things, (Well maybe not these particularly) but these are the things we need to think about all the time and never forget to do, because when we stop, it all stops.
