This one really is just a recap on yesterdays Blog.
Shortly after publishing the Blog I received a comment from okmegan. (Follow her she is awsome) She commented,
You are Thor.
If you want to be the god of thunder than look in the mirror and remind yourself that is what you are. Maybe you’ve just adopted your brother Loki’s ability to shapeshift.
That point I would focus on though is that you are right, it shouldn’t matter what you look like at all. As long as you look at yourself as a deserving, loving human being, and perhaps more importantly, give others that same credit, then there is no limit to the amount of love you can find. You just have to be open to the right person, the one who will hear your words and recognize the god of thunder you are.
And it made me think. Why don’t we believe with such force, I mean is it so wrong to believe that we are who we want to be. Like me allot of people have felt down sometimes, and don’t feel like they should, but in all honesty this post alone, from someone who does not know me, just makes me think we can all be the gods of our own life.
This reminds me of one of my favorite films Sucker Punch. Amazing movie, awsome music, and even better quotes, here are a few to keep all you thinkers thinking.
Everyone has an Angel. A Guardian who watches over us. We can’t know what form they’ll take. One day, old man. Next day, little girl. But don’t let appearances fool you, they can be as fierce as any dragon. Yet they’re not here to fight our battles, but to whisper from our heart. Reminding that it’s us. Its everyone of us who holds power over the world we create.
You can deny angels exist, Convince ourselves they can’t be real. But they show up anyway, at strange places and at strange times. They can speak through any character we can imagine. They’ll shout through demons if they have to. Daring us, challenging us to fight.
And finally this question, the mystery of who’s story it will be. Of who draws the curtain. Who is it that chooses our steps in the dance? Who drives us mad? Lashes us with whips and crowns us with victory when we survive the impossible? Who is it, that does all of these things? Who honors those we love for the very life we live? Who sends monsters to kill us, and at the same time sings that we will never die? Who teaches us what’s real and how to laugh at lies? Who decides why we live and what we’ll die to defend? Who chains us? And Who holds the key that can set us free… It’s You. You have all the weapons you need. Now Fight!
I have always found these three quotes very powerful.
And so, until next time
